An important part of any comprehensive school counseling program are classroom guidance lessons.  Classroom guidance lessons are provided by the school counselor as a way to proactively teach students vital social skills that will help with students' academic, social, and emotional development.  Some grade levels will receive social skills instruction for the entire school year as a part of their specialist rotation.  Other grade levels will receive classroom guidance lessons for a shorter duration throughout the year.
