Hello, My Name Is...
Mrs. Alexis Calhoun
Dear Students and Families,
I look forward to getting to know all of you this year! My goal is to create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for my first graders. With my passion for teaching and learning, I hope to instill a love of learning and wonder in each student. I will do my best to inspire and lead them to academic and personal success.
I believe that the relationship between families and the teacher is necessary in student learning and achievement. I am excited to work with you to support your child in the best way possible.
I grew up on Whidbey Island. I graduated from Western Washington University in Elementary Ed. majoring in Language, Literacy, and Cultural Studies, and from Eastern Washington University with a master's degree in Literacy.
This is my 6th year in first grade, but my first year in Arlington! I am excited to join the Pioneer family and look forward to meeting you all!
Welcome to First Grade!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Calhoun
