Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Sweem
My
name is Carrie Sweem and I was born and raised in Puyallup, Washington.
As an undergraduate, I attended the University of Washington and then
graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in Elementary
Education. I began my teaching career in the Mukilteo School District
1997, then came to Arlington in 2000. I made the move from Post Middle
School to Pioneer when it opened in 2002. That same year, I completed my
Masters in Education with an emphasis in Science Education.
I
absolutely love working in the Arlington School District and teaching
in the school community in which I live. My children, Kjell and Helena
(twins), attend AHS. I
love building relationships with my students both in and out of the
classroom. In my spare moments I enjoy reading historical fiction,
watching Downton Abbey, camping with my children, and visiting friends
and family; And of course...Rooting for the Seahawks.
